Family and friends,

Thanks for coming to celebrate with Marsh and Teressa.  Please don’t share this note with them.

During tomorrow’s ceremony, I will ask the “congregation” to support the two of them as they enter married life.  I’d love to hear a rousing “AYUH!” from y’all in response.  Ayuh is, shall we say, a regional colloquialism signifying assent.  If you prefer to say something like “we will,” that is fine too.  And for those of you from away who need help pronouncing ayuh, just talk to a Mainer (or to Nat Gardiner or Ian Burnes).

Thanks.  Please pass the word tomorrow to wedding guests who are not at tonight’s dinner.
